This Valorant guide explains 5 mistakes most players make that sabotages their gameplay
This is a really amazing Valorant guide to be honest. This one comes from YouTube channel GameLeap Valorant Pro Guides. In this video he explains 5 of the biggest mistakes that newer players make that makes them fail or play poorly. This Valorant video is actually extremely good. The information presented in this video is so informative it's crazy. You can learn a ton about the little tricks and tips to play Valorant better by playing the video below.
We're going to quickly outline some of what was just explained in the video above.
Valorant Tip #1
Don't aim at the ground while running around. Always keep the crosshair at head level while searching around the map. Doing this makes it easier to quickly jump to someone's head to land the sought after headshots. Sometimes you may not even have to aim at all if you're lucky, they may walk around the corner right into the crosshair if held at head level and you simply have to left click.
Valorant Tip #2
Don't "run and gun." As stated in the video, in Valorant if you are moving while shooting it dramatically decreases the accuracy. There are some tips in the video how to best deal with this, but always stand still, or almost still while shooting in Valorant.
Valorant Tip #3
Learn the spray patterns of your favorite guns. As stated in the video, every gun has it's own unique spray pattern. Learning these patterns will allow you to fire more bullets with good accuracy while spraying out the entire magazine of the gun. Each gun has a fairly predictable pattern that you can learn in order to increase your accuracy beyond the first few shots.
Valorant Tip #4
Use your abilities. A lot of newer players hold their abilities too long and always end up dying with them. The abilities are cheap compared to the weapons, and ultimates are technically free, even though it's not quite that simple. It's always better to use abilities to guarantee a win on a close round than to hold them and lose your weapon and the round.
Valorant Tip #5
Learn the economy game. In Valorant there's almost a second game going on within the match at all times. This second game is managing your money as a team. If your team is doing an economy round with pistols, don't go buying an operator. You want your whole team to have a chance as a team. If you're the only one with a gun then if you all die that round, the next round they'll all have guns and you'll have a pistol. Winning a round can change the moment of the match, be sure to save together and spend together as much as possible in Valorant.
