Wood is one of the most basic resource items in Conan Exiles. This resource is used in many different items and crafting recipes. Players won't go very far in Conan Exiles without collecting this resource from time to time.

This resource can be gathered from trees. The primary tools to collect wood are picks and axes. Picks will yield wood and bark, whereas axes will yield wood and branches.

There are three different grades of these two tools in Conan Exiles. There are stone, iron, and steel of picks and axes. Stone will yield the least resources per swing and per tree, iron gives more, and steel gives the most. Players can craft the stone pick by default at level 1 thanks to the survivalist crafting recipe everybody starts with right out of the gate.

Wood is used in building pieces, as well as in some weapons and tools. Players will find themselves collecting thousands or even tens of thousands of this resource throughout the course of their journeys in Conan Exiles.
