The Wooden Shield is the most basic shield in Conan Exiles. This weak shield is available starting at level 3 once players purchase the Mercenary crafting recipe.

With this shield players will be able to block incoming attacks by holding down right click on the mouse (default key). This shield is very weak and will blow up after only a few attacks from weak enemies. Regardless of its strength, this shield gives the ability to stop incoming attacks and some players will find it invaluable.

The wooden shield can be crafted from the player inventory using 16 wood and 8 twine. This shield is extremely cheap and very replaceable. While it's not a great shield by any stretch of the imagination, this shield is good enough for the lower levels of Conan Exiles.
