Crucible Hunter - Captain Mendoza
Graphic compiled by reddit user Starsleeps |
Captain Mendoza is one of Crucible's essence hunters. He's a veteran soldier, in fact, he's the most veteran of them all. He uses his trusty pulse rifle and his legs to win battles.
This Crucible hunter is really consistent. He can sprint, and he can do it forever. He has flash bangs and a porable barrier to protect himself with, it even comes with a health pack. His mobility doesn't come in bursts, but when traversing the map he can cross more ground than just about anybody since he doesn't have to wait for a cooldown on his mobility.
His greatest weakness is his lack of quick mobility. When using Captain Mendoza it's important to know your positioning and know the boundaries of what can and cannot be accomplished. He does a lot of damage if he's uncontested and he offers a very consistent oppressive force on his enemies thanks to his pulse rifle. He's a very stable, consistent, and easy to play DPS.
Overview
Captain Mendoza is a the most generic and standard DPS hunter in all of Crucible. He can sprint forever like Call of Duty, he has a pulse rifle which is basically an assault rifle, he throws a flash grenade, and he can drop a portable cover that has a turret on it and a healthpack in it. He's great at supporting a team with consistent suppressive fire and additionally helps the team by keeping everyone stocked up on health packs. His mobility isn't a burst of mobility, so good positioning is key with this essence hunter.
