Crucible Hunter - Ajonah

Ajonah is one of Crucible's essence hunters. This Orazon raider excels at long range combat, dealing high damage from a distance with her harpoon gun.
This Crucible hunter is very good at giving supressive, high damage gun fire from a distance. She does well when placed at a distance, away from the team fights. If she's in trouble she has a grappling hook she can use to grapple out of trouble.
Another tool Ajonah has at her disposal is the Jamming Shroud. With the right upgrades this shroud can give her an aditional mobility ability, throwing her and enemies away from the shroud.
An important aspect of Ajonah's playstyle is to keep herself away from enemies while maintaining line of sight. She's a pretty generic sniper class who excels in open terrain and struggles in close quarters combat; however, a good Ajonah player can find value with her even in congested terrain.
Ajonah is a glass cannon style DPS essence hunter. She is meant to engage enemies from a distance while they're busy fighting her allies. If necessary she can swoop in with her grappling hook to secure kills on low health targets. She's played as a sniper assassin class who makes the enemy team never able to let their guard down. If they're out in the open they need to be constantly vigilant for Ajonah's harpoon gun.
Ajonah's hunter stats
Ajonah is a low health, high damage output character. Other than her damage, her stats are relatively low. She requires good positioning and game sense to stay alive.

Ajonah's abilities focus more on dealing damage and staying alive. She strives to use these abilities to distract enemies while repositioning to distant high ground and or dealing high damage to them, finishing them off before they get a chance to fight back. She's a very high skill cap hunter with powerful damage who is relatively vulnerable because of her lack of constant mobility.
Harpoon gun (hip fire)
AJonah's basic attack is hip fire shots from her harpoon gun. This weapon does extreme damage and can critical hit. It either hitscan or a projectile with an extremely fast bullet speed.

Ajonah's harpoon gun gets additional accuracy and damage when aimed down sights. It is also either hitscan or an extremely fast projectile that does extreme damage and is capable of critical hits.

Ajonah has a grappling hook which allows her to swing from high objects. This ability allows her to move around the map quickly, or to escape danger very rapidly. It is her primary mobility.

Ajonah throws out two mines that travel towards the enemy. They are locked on, so they follow the target even if they move out of the way. They travel at a moderate speed and deal damage upon impact.

AJonah's jamming shroud blocks detection of herself and nearby allies. When in the shroud enemies cannot see player outlines on the map, and possibly gives invisibility (unconfirmed).

|Ajonah creates a spherical shroud that blocks detection of herself and nearby allies who remain inside the shroud. Also applies cloak (invisibility) while in the shroud (unconfirmed).
Ajonah is designed as a glass cannon DPS character. She has low health and immense damage output. Because almost all her damage is based on her accuracy, she has a very high skill cap. Players who can consistently hit critical shots with her will undoubtedly be some of the most dangerous in the entire game.
She pairs well with high mobility tank character, and or any characters with a lot of crowd control. When enemies see Ajonah shooting from a distance they'll use their mobility to try to rush to her and take her out. Pairing her with hunters who can stop enemies from doing this will be crucial to getting the full value out of Ajonah.
It would be wise to position away from the actual fight, up on a rock somewhere nearby. If enemies come to Ajonah she can use her grappling hook to reposition futher away and continue firing upon the enemy. In closer quarter engagements she should strive to position behind her allies so that the enemy players must run past them to reach her, leaving themselves vulnerable to allied attacks.
Generally speaking the best way to play Ajonah is from a position where she can fire without being fired upon or chased down. She has little to no damage fall off so she can take any position she wants as long as she has a clear line of sight.
Many of Ajonah's skill tree upgrades focus on utility or extra damage. Most of the damage upgrades however are in the form of increased magazine size, extra mines, and so on. Either way her essence upgrades give way to a few different playstyles, depending on the upgrades chosen.

Level 1 upgrades:

|Detonating an active jamming shroud now inflicts damage and causes a knock back effect.
Level 3 upgrades:

|Ajonah regains 20 health per second when cloaked.
|Ajonah and her allies get an additional 10% movement speed when within the shroud.

|After using her grappling hook, Ajonah now recieves a cloak for 1.5 seconds.
Level 5 upgrades:
|The slow duration on Ajonah's squid mines is now increased.
