The Mercenary crafting recipe is the first major weapon recipe players learn in Conan Exiles. This crafting recipe allows players to craft the most primitive and basic sword and shield in the game, the stone sword and the wooden shield.

While neither of the weapons crafted from the Mercenary recipe are good, they're fantastic when compared to no weapons. The stone sword is all players will need to kill the lower level wildlife in Conan Exiles.

This crafting recipe is available for unlocking starting at level 3. This recipe only costs 1 knowledge point. Slaying the wildlife is one of the best ways to level up, so getting this recipe early and using it is advisable in Conan Exiles.
