Lingering Essence in Conan Exiles is the essence of the human soul. Followers of the Mitra religion can collect this item using the Mitraen Ankh. This item can then be used to either craft Ambrosia, or Offerings of Mitra. The offering of Mitra is not an actual item but instead puts a manifestation of zeal in the Shrine of Mitra, which can be used at a later date to upgrade the shrine.

This item can be collected using a Mitraen Ankh by swinging it at any corpse of a dead humanoid in the Conan Exiles world. This includes thralls, as well as dead player characters.

It takes a very long time to collect a lot of Lingering Essence because each human corpse only gives 1 Lingering Essence. Generally the practice is to always carry a Mitraen Ankh and remember to swing it anytime the Conan Exiles adventure leads the player to dead humans.

This item is a necessity to do anything with the Mitra religion, especially summon the avatar of Mitra. Lingering essence is the backbone of the Mitra religion in Conan Exiles.
